Infant found alive near mother’s hanging body
A one-and-a-half-month-old girl was miraculously found alive near the three-day-old dead body of her mother in North Delhi’s Sabzi Mandi area on Friday evening.

The starving infant is being treated in Hindu Rao hospital. The child’s mother Deepa, 26, was found hanging with a ceiling fan at their first-floor house in Aryapur. She is suspected to have committed suicide, although no suicide note was found near the body.
Deepa’s parents have alleged that their daughter was forced to commit suicide because she was being harassed by her in-laws over dowry. Deepa’s parents didn’t let police to take their daughter’s body away as they were demanding the immediate arrest of their son-in-law and his parents. A case has been registered at Sabzi Mandi police station and after lot of persuasion police managed to send the body for post-mortem. Police have ordered an investigation and all possibilities are being probed. According to the police, Deepa had shifted in the house 15 days back. She had recently separated from her husband, although they were not divorced. Her husband has a grocery shop in Indralok area.
