The DU student, Anuradha, who had sustained a head injury in an attempt to suicide at Indraprastha Metro station last week, succumbed at L.N.J.P. Hospital on Tuesday, where she was undergoing treatment for her injuries, .

The 21-year-old student, a B.Sc. final year student of DU’s Miranda House College, was admitted to the hospital for treatment after she jumped before a Metro train at Indraprastha station on August 11.

The deceased, apparently depressed over her performance in a practical exam, feared that she would score poor marks and had jumped before a train heading towards Yamuna Bank. She had sustained injuries on her head and waist and was rushed to L.N.J.P. Hospital by the PCR personnel.
