Ram Heth Meena, the father of six-year-old boy Devansh Meena who allegedly died after drowning in the sewage water tank of the Ryan International School in South Delhi, alleged that when he was inquiring for his missing son, he was threatened by the school authority. He said that the principal of the school asked him to keep his mouth shut.

“I called the school authority. They asked me to visit the school immediately. When I inquired about the matter, they did not tell me anything. When I insisted, I was scolded by them,” he said.

Mr Meena further said that he informed by the police that his son was found dead under mysterious circumstances inside a sewage tank under the amphitheatre in the school premises.

He questioned how his son reached the water tank which is inside a narrow path. “It’s impossible to reach the spot. The school is responsible for his death. I want action against them. I kept asking the school staff what happened to my son, but no one bothered to answer. The principal even asked me to keep quiet.” the father said.

Delhi deputy cm Manish Sisodia ordered a district magisterial probe in the case. He also ordered to ascertain exact role of school management.
