Delhi celebrates Valentine’s Day

Love was in the air on Sunday as hundreds of youth thronged decorated malls, multiplexes, clubs and markets to celebrate the Valentine’s Day in the national capital.

Love was in the air on Sunday as hundreds of youth thronged decorated malls, multiplexes, clubs and markets to celebrate the Valentine’s Day in the national capital.

A pleasant and sunny Sunday provided a perfect backdrop for the couples and families to mark the day with festivities.

Several malls, restaurants and clubs decked with balloons and lightings and popular hangout zones wearing red colour beckoned both the young and old, who exchanged gifts, roses on the occasion.

Heart-shaped flowers, and red and pink balloons were seen festooned at coffee houses and theme restaurants while hi-end eateries received a large number of customers.

According to police sou-rces, no major protest was reported from any part of the national capital and the day passed off peacefully. E-commerce majors, pizza chains, restaurants, spas and salons also off-ered special discounts on the occasion, especially for couples.
