A delegation of Delhi BJP women members met police commissioner Alok Verma on the issue of the suicide of AAP activist Soni. The delegation under the banner of ‘Women Voice’ met the police commissioner and submitted him a letter demanding a thorough probe into the roles of Aam Aadmi Party MLAs, other leaders and negligence of chief minister Arvind Kejriwal which forced their party colleague Ms Soni to commit suicide and Ms Sarita to attempt suicide.
The delegation brought to the notice of the police commissioner that AAP volunteer Ms Soni fought against her male political colleagues trying to seek physical favours from her for over seven months. “Reportedly she apprised the chief minister Mr Kejriwal and AAP Delhi head Dilip Pandey about her problem but instead of helping her out they suggested her to compromise with the tormentors,” claimed the delegation.
The letter also draws the police commissioner’s attention towards the matter of attempted suicide by another AAP volunteer Ms Sarita who too has filed an FIR accusing an AAP colleague for harassing her and her family.
