While the school examination fee for Class 9 and 12 students have been increased from '100 to '500, Class 10 board registration fee has been hiked from '120 to '150 for every subject. From now onwards, the students of Class 10 will have to pay a total examination fee of '750.
Similarly, CBSE has doubled the practical examination fee for Class 12 science students. “The practical fee has been increased from '40 to '80 for science students following which they will be required to pay an amount of '1,050 now,” a CBSE source said.
The last date of registration for Class 9 and Class 12 students is till October 20, but the date for filling in the board examination form has not been declared by CBSE yet. “In addition to the board exam fee, the schools have also been asked to increase sports fees,” the source added.
On the other hand, the migration fee has also been increased from '100 to '250. Earlier, the fees for duplicate documents used to be Rs 200, but now the student who has passed Class 10 and 12, has to pay an amount of '250 for collecting their duplicate mark sheet, certificate, and grade sheet cum certificate of performance.
“In case the documents are too old, then the amount thus charged will be increased. For one to five years, the person will have to pay '500 followed by '1,000 if the documents are five to 10 years old. Similarly, for the documents, which are 20 years old, he or she will be required to pay '2,000,” the source said.
