BJP: Govt exploiting dalit officers

The Delhi BJP on Tuesday accused the Kejriwal government of allegedly exploiting dalit officers. Delhi BJP president Satish Upadhyay claimed

Mr Upadhyay claimed that an honest dalit officer under the Delhi government, Kuldeep Gangar, was removed from the office of former transport commissioner three months ago by the Delhi government and has not been given any posting because he refused to become a party to the planned corruption of the Kejriwal government.

“Mr Gangar, who is related to a Dalit Sikh soldier family of Punjab, was joint transport commissioner and he was pressurised to allot stalls to the AAP workers at Kashmere Gate Bus Terminal besides issuing auto permits. When he refused to do so, the Kejriwal government removed him from that post and did not give him any other posting. After Mr Gangar was relieved from his post, auto permit scam in the transport department was committed and the CNG scam were also exposed,” Delhi BJP chief claimed.

He also said that most claims of the Delhi government have proved to be false but “egotist Kejriwal government” was misleading not only the people of Delhi but also of the country, especially the people of Punjab, by its false advertisements.

Mr Upadhyay also alleged that Kejriwal government has betrayed the farmers. “Although in the beginning the government paid compensation to the farmers who suffered loss of their crops last year, most of the farmers have not received the promised compensation as yet. The government, which witnessed the suicide of a farmer Gajender at Jantar Mantar last year, had promised of paying compensation to the family members but they have not received any compensation as yet,” added Mr Upadhyay.

The BJP also took a dig at the Delhi government’s advertisements of its achievements, saying that this is the first government of the country whose advertisement campaign is going on for the last one month highlighting its achievements of one year.
