Urging municipal staff to withdraw their strike, the Delhi BJP challenged the Kejriwal government to reveal the list of its volunteers enrolled in co-terminus jobs along with their salaries and allowances.
In a letter addressed to the various staff unions, Delhi BJP president Satish Upadhyay said that the BJP understands the problems being faced by the staff and has sympathy for them, but in the larger interest of Delhi, it is important that no epidemic strikes the city.
“Mayors and our party leaders are trying their best to work out a solution, but due to political vengeance, the Delhi government is not ready to release lawful municipal funds despite the orders of the Delhi high court. It appears we have a long struggle ahead,” added Mr Upadhyay.
