Alleging that CM Arvind Kejriwal’s activism on AgustaWestland case is a conspiracy to weaken the case with the help of the Congress party, the Delhi BJP said that the party will expose the double standard of the Delhi chief minister and his connivance with corrupt and communal forces.

The Delhi BJP said Mr Kejriwal now should answer why he is silent on the DJB scam of '400 crore under the Sheila Dikshit government.

The Delhi BJP said that how weak is the resolve of Mr Kejriwal to end corruption was seen in the year 2013 when he formed government in Delhi with the help of the Congress party and again it was seen when he suppressed the investigation on the scam of '400 crore by the previous Sheila Dikshit government.

Delhi BJP president, Satish Upadhyay said that be it the AgustaWestland scam, coal scam or the 2G scam during the Manmohan Singh government, all were to a great extent committed under the protection of Congress president Sonia Gandhi’s family.

“The Central government is getting these cases investigated and action will be taken by following the complete procedure and the guilty persons will be sent to jail,” he added.

Reacting to the demand for the arrest of Mrs Gandhi in copter case by the Delhi chief minister, Mr Upadhyay said that Mr Kejriwal wants that the government should arrest Mrs Gandhi without full investigation under political pressure and a weak case is submitted in the court so that the Congress president and other accused persons get advantage. “This way Sonia Gandhi and other accused persons may escape punishment and after that, Mr Kejriwal may come with Sonia Gandhi on the national stage,” said Mr Upadhyay.

Leader of the Opposition in the Delhi Assembly Vijender Gupta said that they don’t need to give any proof about the commitment of Mr Kejriwal and his party on the issue of corruption. “Last one year of the Kejriwal government speaks for itself. Mr Kejriwal used to claim that he had proof of 370 pages against Ms Dikshit’s government. Perhaps in the year 2013 itself, in a deal with Sandeep Dikshit, the original copy of the proof was returned to the Congress party. But the silence of the chief minister on the tanker scam exposes his real character,” added Mr Gupta.

South Delhi MP Ramesh Bidhuri said that Mr Kejriwal, who is said to be very much worried about the copter case, should tell people what action he took against his own corrupt minister Asim Mohammad Khan.
