Delhi BJP chief Satish Upadhyay on Tuesday demanded the resignation of chief minister Arvind Kejriwal for misusing the state government machinery and official residence for his political promotion and damaging the federal fabric of the country by speaking on issues of international ramification from his official residence.
“By convening a press conference on Pathankot issue and making his minister Kapil Mishra tweet to label PM Narendra Modi as ISI agent, the chief minister has shamed the nation and violated constitutional sanctity”, Mr Upadhyay said.
Delhi BJP chief said that the anti-national words we have heard today from the mouth of the chief minister and his minister is culmination of the dirty politics which started over the tolerance debate, Dadri issue and anti-national slogans at JNU.
The BJP demanded the resignation of the chief minister and his government for indirect support to anti-India agenda.
However, the BJP chief praised former chief minister Sheila Dikshit. “Mr Kejriwal will never desist from his anarchic agenda. He is free to condemn all, but should do it from his party platform. Delhi has seen political heavyweights like Madan Lal Khurana, Sahib Singh Verma, Sushma Swaraj and Sheila Dikshit for as long as 15 years but none of these four titans ever misused their official residence for political agendas,” said the BJP chief.
