Aam Aadmi Party’s JJ cluster cell president Umesh Verma joined the Yogendra Yadav-led Swaraj India on Saturday.

Attacking the AAP, Mr Verma said the AAP government has failed to regularise the unauthorised colonies despite making a promise during the Delhi Assembly elections last year.

Mr Verma, who was earlier with the BJP before joining the AAP ahead of Delhi Assembly polls, said even the Delhi government’s policy on JJ cluster was also flawed.

Mr Yadav said the Arvind Kejriwal government started the work of regularising the illegal colonies, but did not complete it.

With an eye on the MCD polls next year, the newly-launched party, led by Mr Yadav, is trying to make inroads in the AAP stronghold.
