The Delhi police on Friday claimed to have solved a case of burglary at an Air Force officer’s house from where a mobile phone connected to IAF’s intra-net was stolen last month. The police has arrested three accused and has also recovered the phone used for official communication.

Harish Singh Panwar (20), a hardened criminal who was earlier nabbed in around 30 cases, was on Thursday arrested by the police from a crossing near Rajdoot Hotel, said Ravindra Yadav, JCP (crime).

Panwar, who used to consume drugs to prepare himself for burglaries, also carried a country-made pistol and cartridges which were seized from him along with house breaking tools, Mr Yadav said.

He had burgled the house of the officer on June 8 morning.
