Ind vs NZ: MS Dhoni to lead, Ashwin, Jadeja not picked for ODIs

The first ODI between India and New Zealand will be played in Dharamsala on October 16.

New Delhi:

The MSK Prasad-led selection panel selection committee picked Indian squad for the first three ODIs of the five-match series against New Zealand in New Delhi on Thursday.

While MS Dhoni will lead the side, R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja are not included in the 15-man squad. Amit Mishra, Axar Patel and Jayant Yadav will take care of the spin department while Suresh Raina has made a comeback to the side.

Hardik Pandya, who was dropped following his below-par showings in the ICC World T20, made it to the Indian team.

The first ODI between India and New Zealand will be played in Dharamsala on October 16. The five-match series ends in Visakhapatnam on October 29. Mahendra Singh Dhoni is expected to continue as the captain.

Virat Kohli-led Team India has taken an unassailable 2-0 lead after winning the first two games. The third and final Test begins on Saturday in Indore.
