Everything is going right for India’s run-machine Virat Kohli these days and the 27-year-old has learnt to soak the success over the years. The India Test captain has been caught in some controversies in the past due to his aggression on the field but the Delhi dasher claims he has learnt to be honest both on and off the field over a period of time which has helped him change the perception of the people and certain misconceptions about him.

“At first when my fans grew, that time I was a bit frustrated that people think me to be a different sort of a human being, but I am not that sort. It took time but I have learnt to work hard honestly and be myself on the field. I have learnt that as long as I am performing well and playing with full dedication my fan base will grow. People will understand and accept me,” Kohli said at a promotional event.

“Now I am happy that people accept me well and happy that I have been able to change the perception of the people,” the Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper who has batted has batted splendidly in IPL 2016, scoring 75, 79, 33, 80 and 100 not out in five games so far.

He has also done exceptionally well for India in the Twenty20 format this year. The destructive top order batsman bagged the man of the tournament award in the recently concluded World Twenty20 and was special in chases against Pakistan in Asia Cup and World Twenty20 before the masterly chase against Australia in the premier T20 event.

Also in his personal life he seems to be doing well with the reported patch-up with Anushka Sharma. “That’s for none to know. I do not have to comment on it. How is your personal life and how is it going It’s an important opportunity for the fans to interact with me and the content will also be most exclusive, not available on other social media platforms,” Kohli said.

Kohli said he was eagerly looking forward to the release of the biopic of his idol, Sachin Tendulkar.

“He will always remain my idol because of who I came into cricket. I am very eagerly looking forward to the biopic on Sachin Tendulkar. That will be something which will be very interesting. I’m looking forward to all three, the one on MS which will be a different one, and on Mr Azhar as well.”
