Chris Gayle has more often found himself in controversies involving women. But for the West Indies women cricketers, the legendary left-hander is ‘hard to find’ when they seek some words of wisdom.
“Chris is a hard guy to find... more likely would be Darren Sammy, he loves to talk, he would go on and on, he is a fantastic guy. We love to interact with him, always positive,” said the West Indies women’s team skipper Stafanie Taylor.
Taylor’s New Zealand counter-part Suzie Bates says her team draw inspiration from the recently-retired Brendon McCullum. “Brendon is always ready to speak about cricket. A number of girls at the New Zealand Cricket Awards spoke to him briefly. His career and his run during the 2015 World Cup was inspiring for us.”
