A video showing three gau rakshaks in Haryana forcing two suspected transporters of beef to eat a concoction of cow dung, cow urine, milk, curd and ghee shows that our society’s newfound love for bovines is here to stay and getting more menacing. While it was later confirmed that the two were transporting 300kg of beef, who are these vigilantes to impose such penalties on them It’s time the police got strict and acted against these bovine vigilantes.
