S-Cross manufactured between April 20, 2015 to February 12, 2016 will be recalled to fix a faulty component in braking system which could cause brake fluid seepage.

Maruti on May 20 announced recall of its Maruti S-Cross SUV. S-Cross manufactured between April 20, 2015 to February 12, 2016 will be recalled to fix a faulty component in braking system which could cause brake fluid seepage. Owners of the impacted vehicles will be contacted by dealers.

Maruti S-Cross owners can also check if their S-Cross is part of the service campaign by logging on to www.nexaexperience.com and filling the 14-digit chassis number. Chassis number can be easily found in the owners RC book. Maruti said the replacement of the component would be done free of cost. S-Cross comes in two engine options DDiS 200 (1.3-litre diesel) and DDiS 320 (1.6-litre diesel).and the recall is applicable for all the variants. "Maruti Suzuki India Limited will undertake a Service Campaign to inspect a suspected fault and replace a brake part in 20,427 units of S-Cross," the company said. “Service Campaigns are undertaken globally by automobile companies to rectify faults that may potentially cause inconvenience to customers,” the company added,
