Sanjaya Baru steps down from FICCI

In a statement, Ficci said that it has appointed Mr Chenoy to succeed Dr. Baru.

New Delhi: Former media advisor to the Prime Minister, Sanjaya Baru, on Tuesday resigned from the post of secretary general within nine month of joining industry chamber Ficci.

Dilip Chenoy, who was serving as the director general, took over as the secretary general of the body.

In a statement, Ficci said that it has appointed Mr Chenoy to succeed Dr. Baru. “Dilip had joined Ficci earlier as director general and worked with Dr. Baru over the past few months”, said Rashesh Shah, president, Ficci.

Mr Shah further stated that Dr. Baru had made significant contribution to FICCI and the organisation had benefited from his leadership of the organisation.
