The MG eZS SUV was unveiled for the global market in Beijing on March 30.

India will be one of the first countries to get the MG Motor eZS SUV that was displayed at the Guangzhou Motor Show in November last year.

PUNE: Marquee British automaker MG Motor, now owned by China’s SAIC Motor, has confirmed that its second offering, the MG eZS, the all-electric SUV, will be launched in India in December this year, six months after the launch of its Hector SUV in June.

“We hope by the time we launch the vehicle, the government would have announced the much-needed subsidies and incentives for the EVs under the recently announced FAME II scheme so that the people are encouraged to by the environmentally friendly mobility solutions,” Rajeev Chaba, President & MD at MG Motor India, said on Wednesday.

The MG eZS SUV was unveiled for the global market in Beijing on March 30.

More details about the specifications and features of the MG eZS will be announced at a later stage, Chaba said.

Auto analysts said that the electric vehicle MG eZS SUV will be priced below Rs 25 lakh, which will make it competitively priced and also offer stiff rivalry to the upcoming electric SUV, Hyundai Kona.

The other markets that will see the launch of the MG eZS include the UK, Germany, Australia, Thailand and the Middle East.
