The much-talked about project is still in its scripting stage, cast will be finalised only after the script is.

There has been a lot of speculation about Subhash Ghai’s Khalnayak remake. In 2013, he had announced the remake first, and later, there were reports about director Sanjay Leela Bhansali acquiring the remake rights and planning to cast Ranveer Singh in the lead role. However, Bhansali eventually dropped the idea.

Now we hear that Ghai has roped in Tiger Shroff for the remake. A close source reveals, “Tiger is in talks with them for the remake and Subhash Ghai has already started working on the script. The film will be a contemporary take on the 1993 blockbuster.”

When contacted, Subhash Ghai rubbished the speculation. “We haven't signed Tiger Shroff as it is being rumoured. We are still waiting to complete the script and will take a call only after that. I know there is a lot of excitement about the project and the script is amazing.”
