Lucky Ali is back in the city for the upcoming edition of the music festival Awestrung. Lucky has enthralled the audience with his unique soulful voice and powerful lyrics. His latest stint in Bollywood was with Imtiaz Ali’s film Tamasha where his song Safarnama was an instant chartbuster — proof that the magic is still on.

His last album Raasta Man was the sixth studio album released in 2011 and was made freely available on the Internet to the public under his own label Lucky Ali Entertainment. Awestrung is a monthly musical property that started in early 2015, in association with Pepsi MTV Indies, Furtados and Radio Mirchi.

Earlier artists like Nucleya and Madboy/Mink have performed at previous editions of the musical event.

Rang, another Mumbai-based band will be opening for Lucky. They have performed several of their critically acclaimed originals, which are recognised for their strong compositions and vocal melodies, fused with some trademark crowd thumping mainstream covers of artists such as Junoon, A.R. Rahman, Euphoria, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Shubha Mudgal and Amit Trivedi.

On March 25, 6.45 onwards, At Courtyard, High Street Phoenix, Lower Parel, Entry: Free
