Farhan Akhtar has had a busy year, shooting for two back-to-back films — Zoya Akhtar’s Dil Dhadakne Do and Bejoy Nambiar’s Wazir.

Farhan Akhtar has had a busy year, shooting for two back-to-back films — Zoya Akhtar’s Dil Dhadakne Do and Bejoy Nambiar’s Wazir. This, apart from doing live concerts, producing films and associating with charitable causes. So the actor is unabashed about taking a long break next year to catch up with family and get some much-needed rest.

“I am planning a longish break for the first three months of 2016. I think I’ve earned that space for myself and my family,” said the multi-faceted artist.

Farhan admits that he hasn’t been able to give as much time to his family as he’d like to. “Spending time with my family is very important. But I also need to take time for myself. So for now, I’ll be taking a three-month break as soon as Wazir is released.”

Farhan, however, is aware that his plans may go for a toss any time, given the nature of the entertainment business. “Something unexpected can come up to claim my time at any point. But I am not taking on any new work. I haven’t signed any film,” he said.
