Just a day ago there were reports that the rights of the 90s cult film Andaz Apna Apna have been given to Phantom by the original producer Vinay Sinha. However, Sinha’s daughter Namrata has denied the buzz.

When asked about it, Namrata said, “The rights are with us and we have not given them to Phantom or anyone else. Yes, Phantom is going to co-produce the film with us. The script is being written right now, so nothing has been locked.”

There were talks about directors Vikas Bahl or Vikramaditya Motwane directing the project. Namrata said, “The project is still in its scripting stage. It is a fresh story altogether and not a sequel to Andaz Apna Apna. But we have still titled it Andaz Apna Apna-2. We will be announcing the film on July 27, on my dad’s birthday.”
