Things just clicked!

A strong believer in the fact that there is beauty in everything, Lijo Joseph shares with us how his love for nature turned him into a passionate photographer.

A software engineer by profession but a photographer by heart and passion, Lijo Joseph is constantly on the lookout to find beauty in his surroundings. A native of the picturesque state of Kerala, Lijo pursues his love for photography whenever time and his busy work schedule permit.

His first tryst with photography started when he was on a trip to Munnar with a few of his college mates. “This trip happened when I was in college. It changed everything. It was at this place that I realised my love for clicking pictures,” he reminisces, adding that he indulges in his photography only when he gets off from work and on weekends. When asked if it was tough to manage both these roles, Lijo replies, “Luckily it’s not so tough because of where I live. Every corner has something worth capturing. And since I do travel and landscape photography, things have just worked out.” He still remembers the first picture that he clicked, which was of a boy on a beach, which, he says, was clicked randomly.

Talking about what inspires his shots, he says, “I tend to find my happy place in nature. Through my pictures, I want to show people how beautiful nature can be and motivate them to travel and explore more. Though I love going on trips in a group, it’s when I am alone that I tend to click the best pictures.” After he is done exploring the South, Lijo plans to travel up North next year, to explore places like Ladakh, Manali, etc.
