The Bharatiya Janata Party has caught the Congress on the backfoot after terrorist-turned-approver David Coleman Headley’s court deposition that Ishrat Jahan — shot dead in a shootout along with three others in 2004 — was a Lashkar-e-Tayyaba operative. Headley’s sensational disclosure has put the Congress in a tight spot as it has been terming the Ishrat Jahan encounter as “fake”. The Congress should brace itself for more barbs from the BJP.
