Maulana Abdur Rahman, the suspected Al Qaeda In-dian Subcontinent (AQIS) terrorist, who was on Tuesday night arrested by the Delhi and Orissa police during a joint raid at his residence in Paschimaka-chha village under Jagatpur police limits in Orissa’s Cuttack district, had links with a terrorist involved in the Glasgow International Airport attack in Scotland in 2007.

This was informed by Bhubaneswar-Cuttack commissioner of police Rajendra Prasad Sharma here on Thursday.

“The Delhi police, during its course of investigation, has come to know that Rah-man had links with Kafeel Ahmed, the Bengaluru-based youth who succumbed to burn injuries in a failed attempt to ram an explosive-laden jeep into Glasgow International Airport in Scotland in 2007,” Mr Sharma said.

Talking about the arrest of Rahman, Mr Sharma said the Delhi police has taken him on two-day transit remand Wednesday nig-ht for further interrogation in connection with a case.
