New Delhi: Taking potshots at his party, BJP leader Shatrughan Sinha praised Rahul Gandhi for minimum income guarantee scheme that promises Indiaâs 20 per cent poorest families will get at least Rs 12,000 per month.
The two-time MP tweeted:
âItâs a masterstroke by the âmaster of situationâ, @RahulGandhi - declaring #MinimumIncomeGuarantee scheme. It has rattled our people so much that some of our prominent people had to rush for a press conference, calling the whole declaration/ announcement âchhalkapatâ
The actor-turned politician added: âWould like to know from our learned friends / leadership - that when you announced various âjumlaasâ....15 Lacs to every individual, farmersâ loan waivers & subsidies, more than 2 crore jobs for the youth every year, etc. etc..Was all this fair?â
âAap kare toh âraasleelaâ, baki kare toh âcharacter dheelaâ! What is right for Peter, should be right for Paul, Sir,â he tweeted.
He signed off with his fourth and last tweet of the series calling Rahul Gandhi the âmaster of situationâ.
âThis is how things are paid in the same coin, thatâs why it is called âmaster of situationâ Rahul Gandhi,â he said.
However, the BJP replaced Sinha with Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad from Biharâs Patna Sahib constituency.
Sinha, who won the 2014 election representing the BJP, had a fallout with the party leadership after he was left out of the cabinet.
Since then he has publicly criticized the party leadership and the Prime Minister.
