He gave the statement while addressing JD-U) workers meet at Patna’s Gandhi Maidan on the occasion of his 69th birthday.

Dalit leader and BJP MLC Sanjay Paswan said that the party followed the JD(U) on the issue because it is a senior partner in Bihar’s NDA.

The Assembly also unanimously passed a resolution to implement the National Population Register (NPR) in its 2010 form.

The NDA has said it will fight the polls under Mr Kumar’s leadership.

Nadda’s meeting with Mr Kumar is being seen as crucial ahead of the Assembly elections slated to be held in November this year.
