Legends Club (Mumbai) will celebrate former Indian captain Sunil Manohar Gavaskar’s 69th birthday today.

The Club celebrates birthdays of India’s legendary cricketers and the list includes Vijay Merchant, Vinoo Mankad, Vijay Hajare, Sachin Tendulkar, Sunil Gavaskar, Kapil Dev and badminton player Nandu Natekar.

The speakers for Tuesday’s celebration are Vasu Paranjape, who was Sunil Gavaskar's coach and Suru Nayak and A. Karnik, who were birthday boy's team mates at Dadar Union.  Vasu Paranjape's son, Jatin will be the moderator.  Gavaskar is in England and will not be able to attend the function.
