Mumbai: Sleuths of the Naya Nagar police has arrested a 40-year-old self-styled karate coach for allegedly sexually assaulting a seven-year-old girl student on the pretext of providing personal training.  The coach allegedly touched her inappropriately, according to the police.

In her complaint, the girl’s mother has stated that the accused identified, Bhuvan Saaru (40), worked as a coach at a private karate coaching centre in Mira Road where her daughter was enrolled as a student between December and April. The accused allegedly molested her on several occasions. However, she finally gathered courage and confided in her mother who immediately registered a complaint at the Naya Nagar police station on Monday. A police team under the instructions of senior police inspector Balaji Pandhare apprehended Saaru. “Before securing admissions for their children, parents should verify the authenticity of the institution and verify the ante-cedents of the trainers,” said Mr Pandhare.
