Delhi: Man behind court shootout arrested

New Delhi: A sharp shooter belonging to a dreaded gang, and wanted in the sensational Rohini court shootout-cum-murder case, was apprehended by a special team led by the crime branch.

The accused has been identified as Parveen, a sharp shooter from the infamous Kala Aasaudia gang (closely associated with Neeraj Bawania). He is wanted in the sensational Rohini court shootout in which Rajesh Durmat of Neetu Dabodhia gang, who was heading the gang after the encounter of Dabodhia, was murdered.

The team collected information through all possible sources and started tracking Parveen. The team also carried out raids at various hideouts in Delhi, UP, and Haryana where he narrowly escaped.

However, police officials kept tracking his movements regularly. The team tasted success on June 23, when at 4.30 pm specific information was received that the wanted criminal will come to Mukarba Chowk bus stand in Outer Ring Road to meet his acquaintance. Based on this information, the team immediately swung into action and laid a trap. There, Parveen was apprehended with one country made pistol and 2 live cartridges.

During questioning, he confessed to his involvement in Rajesh Durmat murder case with other associates.
