Tiger area in MP doubles, Cat population may go up: Report

The data on tiger habitat in MP collected during the ongoing tiger census in the state has been carried out by Wildlife Institute of India.

Bhopal: The latest map of tiger area in Madhya Pradesh released by state forest department has indicated that the habitat area of the big cats has doubled in the last four years. The development indicates that the tiger population may have gone up; spokesman of the state forest department Rajnish Singh told this newspaper here on Tuesday.
