Bhopal: Three accused in the Vyapam scam surrendered on Thursday before a local court here and were later let off on bail. The three accused have been identified as Sushil Yadav, Shivam Singh Gharwar and Awadh Kumar, who surrendered before the additional district and sessions judge court here.

Meanwhile, the CBI had summoned 88 accused in the Vyapam case to be present for recording their statements at the local headquarters of CBI here on Thursday.

It had filed a supplementary charge sheet in the case in the district court. Caught off guard by the CBI’s sudden move to file a supplementary charge sheet in the case in the court, several accused gave it a slip. But the eight accused that were present in the court were taken into custody and later let off on bail.
