J&K: Army foils infiltration bid by Pak along LoC, search operation underway

Tangdhar (Jammu and Kashmir): The Indian Army has foiled an infiltration bid attempted by Pakistan terrorists in Tangdhar Sector of North Kashmir.

The Pakistan attempted to infiltrate across the Indian border during the early hours of Wednesday.

"A group of four terrorists attempted to infiltrate under the cover of darkness and thick jungles in the mountainous terrain in Kalban in Tangdhar but were spotted by troops. They were engaged in heavy fire and terrorists were seen running away into thick jungles towards LoC," the Army said on Thursday.

The security force had also launched search operations in the sector which is still underway.

"Based on sound intelligence, the Army successfully eliminated the nefarious designs of Pakistan forces to foment trouble in the Valley," the Army said.
