After being called out in the #MeToo movement, Anu Malik has been swiftly sacked from his duties as a judge on singing reality show Indian Idol which he has presided over since its inception.

Sources from the channel which airs the reality show say the tainted composer was ‘absolutely sure’ of his position on the show. “There is no Indian Idol without Anu Malik’ he bragged among his colleagues," says the source.

With Anu out of Indian Idol he has nothing to fall back on to keep his career going. His latest work was in Sharat Kataria’s  Sui Dhaga. But it’s unlikely that big banners or even small ones will come to him with any offers.
