Veteran actress Padmini Kolhapure, who had been missing from the big screen for a while, has every reason to smile. The actress’ son Priyank Sharma will now take centre stage. Priyank, who has earlier assisted Rajkumar Santoshi in Phata Poster Nikla Hero, is gearing up for a launch.

When we called Padmini, she confirmed the news. She said, “I am thrilled for him. Acting has been his passion all his life. As a mother, I am glad to see him fulfilling his dream. We have, in fact, tried to keep him away from the limelight. But as people rightly say, it’s in his blood. You can’t keep that away from them for too long.”

Priyank Sharma

Priyank, has completed his acting course from New York, and even undertook a workshop under Nadira Babbar. She says, “I have taken my lessons in acting from London too. So my teachers are training him as well. He was fortunate enough to get the right guidance and training under Rajkumar.” However, Padmini is tight-lipped when we asked for more details. She says, “I can’t reveal that as of now. Let the makers announce it. All I can reveal is that he will start shooting this year.”
