Whether at home with the family, playing taash with friends or filming abroad, the denizens of tinsel town disclose their Diwali plans.

Taapsee Pannu: I am home; back in Delhi for Diwali. Some rangoli-making, painting diyas and a good meal with the extended family.

Shabana Azmi: My husband, Javed Akhtar, is coming back on the 7th , so he won’t be here for Diwali. We are having a small taash  (card) party on the 8th. At midnight we’ll bring in my sister-in-law, Tanvi Azmi’s, birthday.

Manisha Koirala: I am shooting and trying to complete a film. But I’ll try to make time to visit friends and celebrate Diwali with them in Mumbai. Laxmi pooja at home is a must.

Tanushree Dutta: This Diwali is very special for me. It has opened up a whole new door in my consciousness. But when you say I’ve vanquished evil this Diwali, you give me too much credit. I just brought in some light and awareness and  that’s all. For actually vanquishing evil fully, the awareness has to remain and grow, and everyone including the media must keep reporting and holding people accountable for their actions. Social change is always a joint effort not a one-person endeavour.

Kartik Aaryan: I am going to be celebrating Diwali with my family this time. And as usual we are going to do pooja and eat good food. I don't like bursting crackers and I urge people to stay away from them, and to celebrate a noise and pollution free Diwali.

Madhavan: After a very long time, the entire extended family is here for Diwali. I feel I am in a Sooraj Barjatya film.

Vijay Deverakonda: I am shooting for my new film Dear Comrade away from home, so I won’t be home for Diwali. But I feel Diwali will be meaningful only when we eradicate the darkness in our hearts. Noise and air pollution caused by arbitrary bursting of crackers must stop. Babies and animals are a big part of the population. Make Diwali peaceful for them.

Tiger Shroff:  I am in Portugal shooting with Hrithik sir for our Yash Raj film together. What better Diwali can I hope for? Sadly, no Diwali at home for me this year.

Arjun Kapoor : I have no major Diwali plans. Will be home with the family.

Richa Chadha:  No Diwali plans. I am shooting in Bengaluru for Shakeela.

Vishal Krishna: I’m shooting in Vizag. I will be going to an old-age home and an orphanage. The day will proceed with lunch with them. I hate bursting crackers.
