The UK-based Global New Car Assessment Programme is the world’s car safety watchdog.

After Tata Nexon and Tata Altroz, Mahindra’s XUV300 has become the third made-in-India, sold-in-India model to receive a 5-star adult occupant protection rating in the Global NCAP crash tests, signifying the strides made by home-grown companies in making safer passenger vehicles in India.

PUNE: After Tata Nexon and Tata Altroz, Mahindra’s XUV300 has become the third made-in-India, sold-in-India model to receive a 5-star adult occupant protection rating in the Global NCAP crash tests, signifying the strides made by home-grown companies in making safer passenger vehicles in India.

Mahindra and Mahindra, India’s third biggest passenger vehicle maker, has been conferred with the Global NCAP’s ?rst ever ‘Safer Choice’ Award for its XUV300 compact SUV this week.

The UK-based Global New Car Assessment Programme is the world’s car safety watchdog.

To win the award, the Mahindra XUV 300 had to meet many stringent requirements such as a 5-star rating for adult occupant crash safety and a minimum 4-star rating for child occupant protection.
