India’s aim to become an all-electric nation by 2030 among the automotive fraternity in the world is the big talk. Electric vehicles are becoming popular with their environment-friendly characteristics in terms of quality, functional simplicity, and above all, energy efficiency. The functional thrust is driven by the electric motor whose construction is simple if compared to the combustion engine. Here is the list of 4 high powered EV's to look out for.

Avan motors Trend E

Trend E is available in a combination of colors, including red-black, black-red and white-blue. Powered by a lithium-ion battery, the smart electric scooter can touch a maximum speed of 45 kmph. Trend E can cover a distance of 60 kms with a single battery and 110 kms with double battery, with the charging time of the lithium-ion battery ranging from two to four hours.

The suspension duties are performed by a hydraulic telescopic suspension at the front and a coil spring at the rear. Trend E gets alloy wheels. The braking duties are performed by disc and drum brakes on the front and rear wheels, respectively. With a high ground clearance, the new smart electric scooter can carry a maximum load of 150 kgs.

The Hero Electric Wave is available in two variants. The DX EM variant of the scooter offers the highest range among all the electric scooters available in India. The scooter gets powered by 33Ah 48V battery that produces a maximum of 250W or 0.33 Bhp.

It is driven by a Brushless Direct Current Hub motor that can push the scooter to up to 25km/h. It gets a speedometer, odometer and a battery gauge. There is also an anti-theft alarm system. The scooter takes about 7-8 hours to charge completely. Hero claims that the battery will need a replacement in 2 years and will cost Rs 20,000.

Okinawa Ridge

The scooter comes from the manufacturer based in Gurgaon and is the only offering from the brand. The Okinawa Ridge gets 24 Ah 60V battery that takes 4-6 hours to charge completely.

The scooter can do 80 km on a full charge and can speed up to 55 km/h, and it is powered by an 800W motor. It also gets a fast charge option that can charge the battery up to a certain level in 1-2 hours from zero. The scooter gets a telescopic front suspension and tubeless tyres.

Ather 450 scores really big when it comes to looks, design, and styling. With a sleek look, the electric scooter is a perfect vehicle for urban conditions.  Ather's claims that it has a range of 55-75 km per charge.

Ather 450 comes loaded with a 2.4kWh Lithium-ion battery pack with a warranty of 3 years or unlimited km. It can give you fast-charging up to 80per cent at 1 km/min. Moreover, it's IP67 water and dust resistant.
