The Bhandup police has arrested a 32-year-old vada pav seller who allegedly raped a 6-year-old boy and also filmed himself in the act. During the interrogation, he told police that he could not control himself.
It is learnt that the accused, Rajkumar Mishra, approached the child when he was playing near his building in Sonapur Nagar in Bhandup. According to the police, he had seen the boy was pestering his father on Saturday for Diwali crackers. The next day, he lured the boy with a cracker when he was riding his cycle alone and took him near his vada pav stall at around 7 pm. He then allegedly raped him when the boy started crying because of the pain. He also warned him against speaking out to his parents, threatening that he would kill them. The Bhandup police came to know about the alleged crime after the 36-year-old mother of the boy noticed that he was bleeding and approached the police to inform them of the incident.
Police officer from Bhandup said, “The woman told us that when she checked her son’s private parts, he started crying and narrated the incident. We have arrested the accused from his shop.”
