Rainfall expected in the next 24 hours
The city is likely to experience rain showers in the next 24 hours. The tropical low from southern India will spread northward up the west coast in Mumbai through Monday.
As per the Regional Meteorological Centre-Mumbai, the moisture from the south will move upward causing showers and thunderstorms across the coastline of Maharashtra and far southern Gujarat by the beginning of next week.
This sudden change in the wind flow has brought respite from the long stretch of dry weather that the city had been experiencing till mid-November this year.
On Sunday, the Colaba station recorded 32.8 degrees Celsius and 25.8 degrees Celsius as maximum and minimum temperature respectively.
In the next 24 hours, the maximum temperature will be around 34 degrees Celsius and minimum will be 23 degrees Celsius.
Districts such as Ahmednagar, Nandurbar, Dhule, Jalgoan, Nashik, Pune, Kolhapur, Sangli, Solapur, and Satara might receive moderate rainfall in the next 24 hours.
