Govt to mark 1st year by reach out campaign
‘No Celebration Only Communication’ is the new slogan given by the chief minister Devendra Fadnavis on completion of one year of his government in Maharashtra. Taking exception from others, the BJP-led government has decided to celebrate its one-year in office by communicating its achievements to the people.
Last year on October 19, the results of Maharashtra Assembly elections was announced and with 123 seats BJP was declared as single largest party in the state. After a gap of 12 days, Mr Fadnavis took oath as chief minister while Shiv Sena joined the government in the first week of December.
To mark its first anniversary, BJP has planned programmes during October 19-31. However, all the events will be limited in conveying information about the works done by the government so far.
“We have decided that there will be ‘No Celebration but Only Communication’ for completing a year in government.
Our strength, our Karyakarta would reach you as communicators with a list of our honest efforts and achievements towards a better Maharashtra,” the chief minister tweeted.
Commenting on this, state party president Raosaheb Danve said the first anniversary of the BJP government was not party-specific but a moment of celebration for all allies. The government has also decided to publicise its achievements to the people.
