Salman Khan receives warm welcome at his residence, surrounded by some 300 to 400 fans
After being acquitted in the 2002 hit-and-run case on Thursday, Bollywood star Salman Khan received a warm welcome at his Bandra residence which was surrounded by some 300 to 400 fans chanting Jai Ho Bajarangi Bhaijan. Firecrackers were burst after Khan reached Galaxy Apartments and many got busy trying to take selfies with the actor.
Die-hard fans of Dabangg Khan and the media that had gathered outside his residence to get a glimpse of him were fooled by the actor who entered the apartment from the back gate. Politician Baba Siddiqui and actor Nikhil Dwivedi visited him.
Even as the star entered his house, the crowd outside was heard crooning Jhalak Dikh La Ja Ek Baar. Shaan Ghosh, a fan of Khan, said, “By profession, I am junior to Khan and run a NGO called ‘Being Salman’ Foundation in Nagpur and Mumbai.”
“I am inspired by Bhai’s social work and have been waiting to get a glimpse of him since morning. Although I have met him on the Bigg Boss sets before this but it is his charisma which has bowled me over,” Mr Ghosh added.
This was a difficult phase in his life but by God’s grace, everything has worked out in his favour. I hope bhai will come out soon and sing Aaj ki party meri taraf se.”
Among Khan’s legion of fans was one Tengyman from Tanzania, Africa, who was also religiously waiting to get a glimpse of the star.
