Often, we have heard that a way to man’s heart is through his stomach. But then why just the man Even women love to be fed, more so if your partner comes up with a delectable love food. This Valentine’s take your love from your bedroom to your kitchen and spice up your love life! Michelin starred Indian chef, Vikas Khanna, came out with his book Khannasutra recently, that deals with love foods. Talking about his favourite recipe from the same, he says, “I have tried to bring to your kitchen some sutras or lessons, that have been developed with passion, yet kept simple to make the recipes special for your loved one. One of my favourite recipes from the book is chocolate mousse with mixed berries. It is one of the easiest and the most romantic desserts that you can make for your partner. The fruity, tangy taste of mixed berries (berries are known to be apt symbols for love) goes perfectly well with the bittersweet taste of chocolate mousse.” Foei Gras or goose liver is one of the world’s most distinguished delicacies. It’s origins can be traced back to the Roman empire and is supposed to be one of the oldest love dish. “The dish, bruelled foei gras and strawberries, epitomises the flavour of the day as the it is supposed to be one of Romeo’s favourite dish. It is rich, buttery, and delicate. We are serving it with a sweet accompaniment, strawberry jelly in form of Juliet’s lips, to give it a certain twist. It is a perfect valentine aphrodisiac for the Romeo and Juliet in each one of us,” says chef Dhruv Oberoi, Olive Beach. Calorie count is a major criterion to decide the intake of food among health-conscious youngsters. In case you are not in a mood to indulge much, chef Satish Chand, F1, Oak Restrobar has an interesting love salad. “Considering the health-conscious generation, I have come up with an innovative love salad. So, vodka-cured salmon salad with sweet mustard dressing is the perfect food choice for this Valentine’s Day. The salmon with added twist of vodka will add to the twirl for the d-day.” Just like Salmon, prawns are also an interesting option to serve your loved ones. The latter is considered to be one of the best aphrosodiacs.
