A five-year-old girl was sexually abused by her neighbour at west Delhi on Saturday night, the police said. The accused, identified as Hemraj, 20, is of the same locality and was arrested on Sunday. “We received a call and rushed to the spot. The victim was taken to a government hospital nearby for medical examination at around 11. 30 pm,” said the officer. On the victim’s statement and medical examination, a case was registered under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and various section of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act 2012 against the accused. “The accused was traced and arrested on Sunday morning and was sent to judicial custody,” added the officer. According to the police, the accused saw the victim playing outside her house on Saturday evening and lured her with chocolates before allegedly raping her in a secluded location here. The parents and the neighbours started looking out for the minor girl, as she was not outside. After few hours of search, the girl was found bleeding in an isolated area.
