Chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday visited the house of Rajan, the 19-year-old who died after being allegedly beaten up by a constable at a Dussehra fair in Narela area on October 26. Mr Kejriwal, accompanied by Aam Aadmi Party’s Delhi convenor Dilip Pandey, met Rajan’s family members on Wednesday morning.

Hundreds of agitated people had blocked the national highway near outer Delhi’s Singhu border by placing Rajan’s body on the day he died. The teenager was allegedly thrashed by the constable, Pramod Kumar, 26, on October 21.

“The constable has been placed under suspension and an inquiry into the ma-tter has been initiated. Fur-ther action shall be taken accordingly. A preliminary medical report revealed that the teenager had extr-emely high blood sugar and went into a diabetic coma, which is a life threatening complication,” DCP Vikramjit Singh had said.
