BJP criticises AAP government for misusing Delhi Pavilion
The Delhi BJP has condemned Delhi government for misusing the Delhi Pavilion at International Trade Fair for self-glorification of chief minister Arvind Kejriwal.
The state BJP said that the purpose of the state government pavilions at the trade fair is to promote local entrepreneurs and to ensure promotional sale of local products, but this year, the Delhi pavilion has been transformed into a city government advertisement spot.
State BJP chief Satish Upadhyay said that instead of trade activities, they found the Delhi pavilion plastered with slogans hailing the chief minister as the symbol of honesty and development. Various departments of the Delhi government have set up stalls which hail the chief minister and his Delhi government as a saviour. “While glorifying the CM, the Delhi government has kept aside the whole purpose for which the state pavilion has been made.”
”The Delhi BJP will bring this violation to the notice of the Trade Fair Author-ity and request the body to ensure use of pavilions for trade activities,” added Mr Upadhyay. He said that the abnormal use of photographs on hoardings within the pavilion of Delhi and on the paid advertisement sites in Pragati Maidan is gross violation of the Supreme Court orders.
