A 28-year-old man was found dead at the terrace of a three-storey building in northeast Delhi’s New Usmanpur area on Sunday morning. Identified as Mukhtsim, he was missing since Friday regarding which a complaint was filed with the local police. On Sunday morning, a youth spotted him lying on the terrace after which his brother was informed and he was taken to the hospital where he was declared brought dead by the doctors.

While the police suspect it to be a case of drug overdose, family members of the deceased have alleged foul play. His father, Ismail, alleged, “There is a brick which has been found lying near him clearly suggesting that he was killed.” The police on the other hand claim that some packets of drugs were recovered from near him as well. He was bleeding from his nose, added the police.

Mukhtsim is survived by his wife Rukhsar and two children, with whom he used to stay in Usmanpur locality. The police said that they have sent the body for an autopsy after which it will be clear how he died.
