2 persons murdered in separate incidents
Two persons, including an 18-year-old boy, were murdered in two separate cases that took place in the national capital. In both the cases, personal rivalry was the reason behind the incident.
In the first incident that took place in southwest Delhi’s Dwarka area, a 35-year-old man was shot dead by unidentified assailants on Monday night. A senior police official said that the deceased was identified as Sunil Pandit, a resident of Dwarka South.
The police said that the deceased was involved in several criminal cases. He was out of jail and had rivalry with a local gang.
“On Monday night, at around 10.30 pm, he was going somewhere on a two-wheeler when he was attacked by unknown persons who opened fire at him. Sunil collapsed on the road while the assailants fled the area. Sunil was taken to a nearby hospital where he succumbed during the course of treatment,” the police said.
In the second incident, a boy was stabbed to death in southeast Delhi’s Gobindpuri area on Tuesday morning. A senior police official said that the deceased, identified as Rahul, alias Rohit, was a local resident of the area.
“Preliminary investigations suggest that personal rivalry could be the reason behind the incident.
