Cyclone Ockhi to make landfall in Gujarat today

The city was lashed by rains and gusty winds on Monday evening due to cyclonic conditions. The Okchi cyclone originated from the southeast Sri Lanka and spread to southern parts of Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Indian Metrological Department stated that the cyclone is likely to pass from Maharashtra on Tuesday and will further move towards Surat. This passing cyclone in the state may lead to moderate rains in the next 36 hours in Mumbai and the surrounding areas. (Photo: Deepak Kurkunde)
